Grants
The Cook County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) was established in 1993 for the purpose of developing
an enhanced 911 system for unincorporated Cook County and other municipalities. During 2001, the ETSB initiated a grant program designed to provide essential equipment to participating remote sites.
In October 2003, the Board of Directors voted to expand our assistance through a Surcharge Reallocation program designed to provide financial support to communications activities in contributing communities for both fire and police functions.
Our board is committed to supporting as many agencies as possible, to the extent financially feasible.
